Even though it’s made of acrylic, the Hario pour over coffee stand doesn’t look at all cheap or flimsy. In fact, the acrylic is thick and solid and will certainly stand more than a few knocks and spills.
Ease of Use
First of all, we were impressed by how this Hario pour over coffee stand has been specially designed to fit snugly onto the Hario Coffee Drip Scale/Timer. Together with your dripper and mug or serving flask, this means that your entire pour over coffee setup can be conveniently stored in one spot in your kitchen. Regardless, the stand works well on any scale.
Even though the Hario pour over coffee stand is non-adjustable, the base area of the stand (5.4 inches wide, 8 inches tall) is roomy enough that both the 600ml and 800ml versions of Hario V60 Range Server will fit. The stainless steel drip tray also comes off easily for emptying and cleaning – even though a few users have complained about the drip tray not staying in place, we didn’t encounter any issues with it.
Lastly, being made of acrylic and with smooth rounded edges and corners, the stand is extremely easy to keep clean. Just be careful not to drop it – well-made as it is, the acrylic will still crack or break!
As with most Hario products, we have to say that we were not wowed, but simply pleased with the design and functionality of the stand. in fact, we’d recommend to buy it with a Hario V60 glass dripper since the whole transparent setup is fantastic for those who enjoy observing every aspect of their pour over coffee brewing.
